My name is Camilyn Beth Leavitt, my friends call me Cami! I am 29 years old and live in Sarasota, FL. I am the designer and owner of a women’s wear line called Camilyn Beth that is proudly made in the USA.
How do you take care of yourself so that you’re physically and mentally prepared to be your best self for your loved ones?
In the morning I definitely need to take time by myself to prepare for the day. Eating a healthy breakfast and staying active through out the day to keep me going. My husband and I try to work out at night or we like to play pickle ball with our friends. Pickle ball is so fun and a great way to work up a good sweat!
What’s your favorite beauty secret?
Living in Florida’s tropical environment, I am constantly drinking water. I use Dermalogica products on my face and organic coconut oil around my eyes before I go to bed at night. I rotate between curling or straightening my hair with a healthy dose of dry shampoo to give my roots some volume.
What’s your favorite outfit for a quick, polished look?
I usually will go for one of my cocktail dresses with a kitten heel and red lips. A low heel gives me just the right amount of lift while still being able to keep up with my daily hustle. A red lip is my go-to for an everyday polished look!
What’s your favorite quick-prep dinner for your family?
Living in Florida we are spoiled by fresh seafood! My husband loves to go fishing so we usually have fillets ready to go. Lately, we have been baking fish in parchment paper with a vegetable, like green beans or asparagus. 30 minutes and it is ready!

It’s hard to pick just one! I love following inspiring and visually beautiful accounts. My friend @ShannonKirsten’s Instagram always brightens my day with her beautiful floral illustrations.
What tradition or routine is important to you?
Relationships are so important to me, whether it is my relationship with my husband, my family, friends, new customers, fabric distributor, mail man, or manufacturer. I always want to be a light to those around me, you never know what people are going through and I try to take time to talk and listen to everyone who is placed in my life.
What’s in your purse?
My sketchbook for design ideas, red lipstick, Camilyn Beth business cards, vitamin hydrating mist, granola bars, and emergency sewing kit.
Where do you find your inspiration?
I find inspiration everywhere! I feel like living in Florida and manufacturing in New York I get a broad range of inspiration. The colors of Florida’s natural beauty constantly stop me in my tracks and the NYC street style gives me a great perspective on the modern woman. I try to share my inspiration on Snapchat and Instagram.
We know you’re a busy lady! How do you balance all of your work responsibilities along with your home and personal life? Any tips for our readers?
My business is my life! That means my husband, family, and friends are part of it. They are all so supportive and I am able to mix work with pleasure. Lately, our Saturdays have been at the studio so we stream college football games as I finish up samples. Tailgating at the studio! When I am in New York for markets or for manufacturing I stay with my sister who lives in Brooklyn. My sister is my model and makes ‘work’ feel more like ‘creative hang-outs’. My best girl friends have their own businesses or work in the fashion industry so we are constantly learning and growing together. Whether we are collaborating on a trunk show, or grabbing happy hour at the end of a long week, we are there for each other.
