How do you take care of yourself so that you’re physically and mentally prepared to be your best self for others?
I believe self-care is a huge component of trying to achieve some of balance in life. I incorporate a few work out sessions weekly in my life to increase physical fitness and energy. I am a planner and always make sure I set aside time every Sunday to plan for my week so I am well prepared on mentally and I also unplug. I think it is SO important to step away from social media and really just be in the moment. OH, and lots of WATER! :)
What’s your favorite beauty secret?
Oh gosh, let’s see! I love a good face mask and I especially love how my face feels after I put one on and my favorite face masks are from Nugg and Tony Moly.
What’s your favorite go-to outfit for a quick polished look?
I am a pretty simple gal so my personal favorite go to outfit is a dark pair of skinny jeans, a simple top, and my leopard flats because leopard prints means fancy right?! ;)
What’s your favorite quick-prep dinner for your family?
Is there really such a thing as a quick prep dinner when you have the pickest kids on Earth when it comes to food but if I had to name one, it would be The Pioneer Woman’s Drip Beef. It’s super simple and delicious. I actually might have to add that to my meal planning for this week! Ha!
Tell us your favorite Instagram account to follow and why?
Ah, is this even possible? I have SO many but if I had to name just one it would be Lara Casey Isaacson. Her post are always so honest and uplifting that it always makes me happy to see one of her post come up on my Instagram feed.
What tradition or routine is important to you?
I am slightly a creature of habit which could be a good thing or bad thing but routine is very important to me and I always, always have to plan my week on a Sunday. I also stop for all our groceries on that day and do a little meal planning for the week. It is the way I can stay sane with my hectic work schedule and the busy schedule of family.
What’s in your purse?
Let’s see, my iPhone, wallet, 2-3 packs of Orbit gum, a pouch to hold all my chap sticks and lip glosses because who doesn’t need like 10 of them in your purse, a pouch for all my business cards and paper stuff, and a pouch to carry all my oils. I also have my planner in my purse along with a dozen pens. No wonder my shoulder hurts Ha! ;)
Where do you find your inspiration?
I find inspiration everywhere but I have to say I find a lot of my own personal inspiration via Instagram.
We know you’re a busy lady! How do you balance all of your work responsibilities with your home life? Any tips for our readers?
Ha! It’s funny that you ask because I am sure I am normally a hot mess 99.9% of the time but I think it all goes back to the planner in me. I plan to hopefully prevent myself from a nervous breakdown. I would also encourage you to take time for yourself! It is so important to refill your tank and replenish.
What’s your favorite app (or other tool) for helping you do life?
Since I take most of pictures with my iPhone, I love using the apps PicTapGo and Afterlight to edit my photos and I am huge fan of the Periscope app and listening to Podcast.
