Dear Bman,

I know there are so many other fun things to do other than sleep. This is our typical bedtime. It makes me so sleepy, but I really want to remember that giant smile on your face. You’re asleep now. You’ve got a new nickname by the way. Boat.

We read Goodnight Moon and your Nana (when she was here taking care of us after my appendectomy) took you all around the house before bedtime to say “Night night Briggs. Night night swing. Night night couch. Night night Boat.” Your boat is the big boat in your room your great grandpa made. So now when it’s time to go to sleep, we say “Night night boat.” Somehow Boat has become your name : )

I love you Bman. I love you Boat. Even when you don’t sleep : )
