A Blessing for Your Week

If you’re living through your twenties, I hope you remember that no matter how many questions you have, or how many times you stumble, you are strong. You are smart. And you are worthy to sit at the table in front of you.

If you’re living through a different period of your life, I hope you remember to have compassion for the young woman you were—and extend that compassion to the young people in your life who are making their way through it.

And most of all, I hope you’re proud of the lessons you’ve collected, the scars you’ve earned, and the people you’ve chosen to love.

Simplicity Tip of the Week

One of the most life-changing things we can do for ourselves is learning how to show ourselves compassion. 

This week, try writing a letter to yourself, as if you were talking to your twenty-five-year-old self. Acknowledge her triumphs, her struggles, and her pain—and let her know how she finds her way through it. Tell her about the people who helped her along the way, and how proud you are of her. No matter if you’re in your twenties right now, or if you haven’t seen that decade in a while, you might be surprised how tender and loving this exercise makes you feel toward yourself.
