If you’re anything like us, you have grand plans for the holidays when November rolls around. You’ve filled your holiday Pinterest boards with extravagant recipes and beautiful table settings that will transform your kitchen table into something you’d see in a magazine— this is the year that you’re going to accomplish it all, right?

But what if we told you that you’ve already got enough on your plate. This Thanksgiving, give yourself permission to be imperfect. It's easy to get swept up in the hustle and bustle of crafting the perfect dinner table and making sure all of your guests feel comfortable and cared for. But when it comes to the holidays, don't forget to focus on the things that matter most— those sweet, slow, and rich moments that you'll cherish for years to come.

Instead of carving out time to curate the perfect Pinterest board, take a few minutes this week to sit down with your Simplified Planner and plan a few simple activities that your family can do together on Thanksgiving Day. Volunteer to help others in need, play a new game around the living room table, express your thankfulness for each person in the room, and engage in meaningful conversation with the people you love. In case you need help getting started, we created a free printable with conversation prompts for you and your dinner guests. Print it out, cut on the dotted lines, pass them out to family and friends around the dinner table, and enjoy lots of life and laughter with your people. You can find the Thanksgiving Conversation Starters printable here (pro tip: select "holiday" at the top to find it quickly!). Happy Holidays!
