Hostess Gifts

Every great guest knows that you never show up empty handed, but deciding what to show up with is often far more difficult than it has to be. Our advice? Keep it simple! Stressing out over the perfect hostess gift won’t get you anywhere. Odds are, your gracious host will be beyond thankful for whatever it is that you bring with you. Today we’ve enlisted the help of the ladies in our Simplicity Series to find the ultimate, simple, hostess gift that you can bring to any dinner party or event this summer. Here’s what they said:

“Home-baked goodies!” – Lacoya Heggie, wife, mama, and founder of Hello Love Events

“A pretty plant! Something that they can keep and enjoy!” – Shay Cochrane, wife, mama to two sweet girls, and photographer extraordinaire

“These days it’s Trader Joe’s Sea Salt Dark Chocolate Almonds and a bottle of wine.” – Beth Gebhard, wife, mama to 2, and co-founder of Choice Media and Communications

“A candle, a beautiful coffee table book, and/or fresh flowers.” – Kerry Gardner, wife, dog mama, and publicist extraordinaire

“My go-to hostess gift is a set of fun cocktail napkins. It’s something that someone might not buy for themselves, but something you can always use.” – Maggie Rheney, Samford grad, avid book reader, and associate publicist at Choice  Media and Communications

“Candles. I know this sounds so lame, but I LOVE candles, and for my home to smell good. Whenever I find a new brand of candle, it becomes my go-to.”– Rachel Cruze, wife, mama, author, and finance guru

“Anything monogrammed! I’m a good Southern girl, and I love putting embroidered initials on anything and everything. Plus, embroidery takes a little time so it shows you thought of it more than three minutes before you went to the party!” – Christy Wright, wife, boy mama, speaker, and author of Business Boutique

“Something personalized to them – a monogrammed tea towel, a new cookbook from their favorite chef, a piece of jewelry that reminded you of them, a hand lotion that smells divine. But, I love receiving candles personally so I enjoy giving them as well. My current favorites are Capri Blue Volcano and Seda France Japanese Quince.” – Heather Adams, wife, mama, and co-founder of Choice Media and Communications
